New facility in northern Germany
The Raben Group’s northernmost branch in Germany went into service at the beginning of May. The logistics service provider will use the facility, located in Neumünster, to distribute customers’ goods throughout Schleswig-Holstein. Some 130 shipments per day are distributed from the new platform to addresses between Flensburg and Hamburg’s northern boundary.
The new 750 sqm complex, which is equipped with eight loading gates, is available for short-term storage and swift forwarding services.
Ties-Christian Petersen, the group’s regional manager, stated: "The new branch enables us to move even closer to our clients in Germany’s most northerly state.”
The company will focus on procurement logistics in addition to distribution at its new site. For example, Raben will support industry production cycles by delivering raw materials and semi-finished goods. (mw)
