New facility for Spanish vegetables
Agroponiente has inaugurated a new logistics centre for fresh vegetables in El Eljido in the south of Spain. The roughly 20,000 sqm hub is mainly used to order pick and package zucchini, aubergines, beans and cucumbers.
Jorge Reig, Agroponiente's CEO: "Our employees and our customers benefit from the new facility. A better configuration of the cool chain improves quality and service."
The machines in Agroponiente's logistics centre are specially designed for sensitive vegetables such as zucchini and aubergine and cause less damage to the products, which has an immediate effect on their quality. (mw)
