New equipment for the port of Lagos
Tincan Island Container Terminal (TICT) has ordered two new cranes for its operations at the Port of Lagos (Nigeria). The Konecranes Gottwald ESP.8 Mobile Harbour Cranes are scheduled for delivery in June 2022. TICT is a consortium of Bolloré Ports and an association of China Merchants Holding International (CMHI) and China Africa Development Fund (CADF).
"The cranes will allow us to further increase our handling capacity and meet the demands of our ever-growing business. We are looking forward to the additional features of the generation 6 cranes. They are designed to enable electric operation in the future," says Etienne Rocher, managing director TICT.
The two new mobile harbour cranes have a working radius of up to 54 m and a maximum lifting capacity of 150 t (sh)
