New East Africa service launched
Hamburg-based Maritime Carrier Shipping (MACS) and Universal Africa Lines, Limassol (Cyprus) are launching a joint multipurpose service from North Western Europe to East Africa.
The service will transport containers, break bulk, project cargo, heavy lifts and neobulk cargoes and will start with monthly sailings. Ports of call on the continent will be Antwerp (Belgium), Rotterdam (the Netherlands) and Hamburg (Germany) with services to additional ports subject to inducement.
In East Africa the ports of call will be Nacala (Mozambique) and Pemba (Tanzania), also subject to inducement. (kd)
