New distribution site for Jacksonville
Automotive remains a major industry for logistics service providers. 1A Auto, an American online-only aftermarket auto parts retailer, has selected Jacksonville as the site for its distribution operations in southeast USA.
The Massachusetts-based company will open a 29,000 sqm warehouse in the port in early 2021. The location will be close to the Blount Island Marine Terminal.
1A Auto's Jacksonville facility will be used to same-day ship imported auto accessories and repair parts —including headlights, mirrors, brake kits and shocks and struts — from Asia for e-commerce distribution throughout the southeast of the USA.
Founded in 1999 by Rick Green out of a family garage, 1A Auto has grown into one of the USA's major suppliers of aftermarket auto parts. (sh)
