New Dehli: a first for Fercam
The South Tyrol-based logistics provider Fercam has expanded into the Indian market and opened a new office, dubbed Fercam India, in the country’s capital New Delhi.
The Indian Subcontinent has been experiencing rapid economic growth in recent years, and Fercam is looking to serve local clients and handle imports and exports for Indian producers. Currently, the country’s economy is of particular interest in the light of ongoing general elections.
The company chose New Delhi as its first hub, but plans to add Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai to its network in the future. Local operations will begin on 1 June and provide consolidated air and sea services to develop the company’s presence in the Indian market. (mk)
