New country manager for Serbia
The management of Gebrüder Weiss has appointed a new country manager for Serbia. Roland Raith is now responsible for running the company’s branch in this Balkan country. Furthermore, he is also in charge of Gebrüder Weiss Montenegro, since the management of this office reports to him.
Raith has been working for the international logistics company for more than 20 years and has held various executive positions during this time, including the post of country manager for Slovenia. Since entering the market in 2004, Gebrüder Weiss has continued to grow its business in Serbia. The company has invested more than EUR 16 million in logistics terminals, vehicles, office buildings, parking spaces and real estate.
Currently, Gebrüder Weiss employs about 250 people in three locations in Serbia and offers its customers a comprehensive range of logistics services on an area spanning 20,000 sqm. In 2018 it generated a turnover of EUR 28 million in Serbia and processed 340,000 consignments. About 80,000 of these shipments were home deliveries which Gebrüder Weiss despatches to its end customers across the country. (mw)
