New China train en route to the Netherlands
A freight train left Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province, Saturday 6 June 2020), heading for Tilburg in the Netherlands for the first time, according to the Chinese state council information office.
The train, carrying 82 teu of cargo, will travel around 15 days before arriving at its destination. It marks the launch of a new rail cargo service between the two cities.
The China-Europe freight train service now has 20 routes linking Hefei with eight countries including Germany, Poland, Finland, the Netherlands and Russia. All in all, 194 China-Europe freight trains have departed from Hefei since the beginning of this year. (ben)
