New automated warehouse Lokeren
Belgian logistics provider KDL is expanding its operations with a new 18,000 sqm warehouse in Lokeren, equipped with Movu Robotics’ Atlas Shuttle system. The system is able to manage more than 22,000 automated and 11,000 conventional pallet positions, compatible with Euro and industrial pallets, handling up to 1,200 kg each. The solution, including autonomous shuttles, vertical lifts and Movu’s execution software, enables high throughput through future scalability.
With 15-metre clear height, 20 loading docks, and a temperature-controlled area, the warehouse is optimised for multi-customer, multi-product operations. Movu Robotics, headquartered in Lokeren, strengthens its collaboration with KDL, following the success of their first automated warehouse, as the company reported. The integration of both sites ensures streamlined workflows and IT systems. (js)
