New appointments at Port of Corpus Christi
The Port of Corpus Christi has appointed Jeff Pollack as its first chief strategy officer. Pollack, who specialises in coastal community land use and resiliency, joined the port’s leadership team in 2018 as director of planning, a newly created position overseeing all strategic planning, master planning, land use planning, GIS and federal and state grant administration. As chief strategy officer, Pollack will oversee all planning functions, as well as all environmental programmes.
Furthermore, Lisa Hinojosa was named director of communications and Leslie Ruta strategic planning manager. Ruta has been overseeing grant development and administration for the Port of Corpus Christi since 2018, a role which requires significant interaction with federal and state agencies such as the Texas department of transportation, FEMA and the US department of transportation.
