Nelt terminal extends outreach from Belgrade
Forwarding, intermodal and logistics distribution company Nelt has invested EUR 2 million in increasing capacities at its intermodal terminal in Belgrade (Serbia). The facility's usable area has been expanded to 30,000 sqm. With the upgrades, the hub can now receive and handle 1,500 full and 5,000 empty containers. The company has also invested in an additional reach stacker to enhance operability on the site.
The intermodal terminal's USP is its rail connection to the ports of Rijeka, Bar and Piraeus and other European ports and land terminals. The E-75 and E-70 highways intersect at a distance of 6 km and the Serbian capital's Nikola Tesla Airport is only 10 km away.
Vuk Mijanovic, Nelt's supply chain manager, pointed out the advantages: "Thanks to its excellent location, technical and technological advantages, the terminal is recognised as a logistics hub in the Balkans. With the last investment of EUR 2 million, we have now even increased our capacities." The intensity of intermodal flows has been growing ever since the terminal was put into operation.
On the occasion of "South East Europe Mobility 2021", which was held from 15 to 17 September at Hotel Yugoslavia in Belgrade, Nelt, as the event's golden sponsor, invited interested exhibitors, guests from abroad and friends of the company to visit the business complex in Dobanovci. (sh)
