NAL Maroc Agency in new hands
Following approval by the Moroccan antitrust authorities, Sea & Ports recently completed the full acquisition of NAL Maroc Maritime Agency, of which the Spanish group had already purchased 51% of the shares in 2022.
The Sea & Ports Group, headquartered in Madrid, has been active with its predecessors in the shipping business with West Africa since 1992 and has connections to Benin, Guinea, Cameroon, Congo, Nigeria, and Togo, among others.
Since 2021, the main activity of the NAL Maroc agency, with headquarters in Casablanca and offices in Tangier and Agadir, has been its representation of the South Korean shipping company HMM in Morocco.
The agency also acts for Marguisa Shipping Lines, a line of the Sea & Ports Group. The latter has been HMM's exclusive representative in Spain and Portugal since the beginning of this year, and more recently in Algeria and Tunisia. (cd)
