Mukran Port welcomes director
At the beginning of this year, Mukran Port welcomed Henry Forster (centre) as the new managing director of the operator, Fährhafen Sassnitz. Ines Jesse (on the left), the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania’s state secretary in the ministry for the economy, infrastructure, tourism and labour, and Leon Kräusche (on the right), mayor and representative of the main shareholder, the city of Sassnitz, officially welcomed him to his new role.
Henry Forster succeeded Harm Sievers, who successfully led Mukran Port for many years and retired from the company for age reasons in October 2024.
Mukran Port on the German island of Rügen offers everything that makes a modern multipurpose port complete, on an area covering around 430 ha. It has ferry, rail, multipurpose and offshore terminals as well as extensive production and storage areas. (cj)
