Movianto: a big investment in anaesthetics
With an investment of several million euros, the pharmaceutical and healthcare logistics service provider Movianto in Neunkirchen, Saarland (Southwest Germany), has tripled its capacity for the storage and handling of narcotics (BTM) and built a solar power production facility.
A quarter of the electricity demand will be covered by the photovoltaic systems. Since Movianto's logistics centres store all goods in temperature-controlled environments, they have the highest electricity demand on hot summer days, when the goods must remain continuously cool despite the heat outside. The plant therefore produces the most fuel when demand is high.
Dennis Spamer, managing director Movianto Germany: "The absolute volumes of this market don't look huge at first glance, but it is growing in size and importance, particularly because of the increase in medical cannabis products." (mk)
