More wheels for beverages in East Africa
35 new trucks have been delivered to Coca-Cola Beverages Africa in Kenya. A first-time customer, the shipper purchased a mix of rigids and prime movers of 6x4 trucks with day cabs and plastic bumpers from Scania East Africa. The trucks are currently being used to transport the company’s products all over the country.
Scania East Africa’s outgoing managing director, Lars Eklund, highlighted how both companies are continuing to drive the shift towards a green transport system for a sustainable future by reducing carbon emissions, fuel consumption, and operational costs.
"We are honoured to be part of this journey with the Coca-Cola team,” said Vincente Connolly, Scania East Africa’s incoming managing director, who received a warm welcome at the handover ceremony. (cd)
