More train trips between Rotterdam and Germany
European Gateway Services (EGS) is raising the frequency of its trains on this route. From Friday, 17 February 2023, a train will depart from Rotterdam (The Netherlands) to Nuremberg (southern Germany) and vice versa four times a week.
With this connection, all Dutch container terminals on the Maasvlakte will be directly connected to the Tricon container-terminal Nuremberg several times a week. There are also direct onward services to Regensburg and Munich.
The trains have a capacity of more than 100 teu and, by using electric Vectron locomotives, also contribute to more sustainable transport. EGS offers last mile deliveries in Bayern and Rotterdam as well as port transfers within Rotterdam and to and from Antwerp. (ben)
