More than Kiwis
In mid-October 2022, the new Militzer & Münch New Zealand subsidiary was born. With the first branch office in the capital Auckland, headed by Shakir Samsudeen, the company also has its sights set on the Polynesian region.
Samsudeen reports to Andreas Löwenstein, regional managing director Asia / Far East at Militzer & Münch. Air and sea freight services are on offer in New Zealand, with a focus on the import and export of various industrial goods and agricultural products.
Militzer & Münch sees the foundation as a milestone in its step-by-step coverage of "promising markets". So far, the company operates with 2,200 employees in 30 countries.
New Zealand is considered attractive because agricultural products can be grown all year round - agricultural products such as dairy products, wool or meat make up a large part of the exports.
International trade is a must for the island nation, as imports include practically all groups of industrial goods. The new national branch starts with three employees but is expected to grow rapidly. (cd)
