More than 350 t of Chinese mail for Europe
A China-Europe freight train from Yiwu, east China's Zhejiang province, arrived on Saturday (16.5.2020) in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, according to the state-own Chinese information office.
The train carried 100 twenty-foot equivalent units (teus) loaded with 354 t of international mail from Shanghai and four other Chinese provinces. These international parcels will be transferred later to 36 European countries, including Spain, Denmark, Switzerland and France.
Following this successful journey, the postal rail service from Yiwu to Vilnius will run at the frequency of one train per week in future. (ben)
