More than 1,000 express trains dispatched

China Railway Express (CRE) trains handled 1,053 express trains along the eastern corridor in China in Q1/2021. The figure is thus about 66% higher than in the same period in the previous year.

The trains delivered 99.902 teu of goods, which represents about 65% more than in Q1/2020. Trains using China’s eastern corridor cross the Sino-Russian border at Manzhouli Port and Suifenhe Port.

According to Hao International Logistics, which is part of China Railway Holding, the goods exported by local enterprises by CRE trains are mainly mechanical equipment, automobiles and auto accessories. The value of goods shipped in the first quarter came to almost USD 80 million. (ben)
