More space to tranship rail cargo at Vladivostok
Fesco has accelerated the handling of container trains at the universal terminal at the port of Vladivostok in Russia’s Far East by 36% to 3 hours 40 minutes, thanks to the commissioning of a new facility.
Fully equipped to transfer containers between ships and trains, this terminal was built on the site of a former warehouse that was demolished as part of the port development programme.
With this upgrade, the railway track could be extended from 225 m to 400 m and furnished with 16 platforms that can be operated simultaneously, Fesco said. (ben)
