More services between Italy and the Baltic Sea
Intermodal operator Kombiverkehr recently introduced three more trains on its service between Verona (northern Italy) and the Skandinavienkai terminal in Lübeck-Travemünde (Germany).
While the three existing round trips are open to all interested parties, the new connections are company trains for LKW Walter. With this new option, the Austrian freight forwarder can save over 110 t of CO2 per round trip.
Novara, a major industrial centre in northern Italy, is now connected to Lübeck with thirteen weekly departures in each direction.
Kombiverkehr will launch more gateway connections via Verona to the Adriatic coast and southern Italy later this month. (ben)
