More room for snacks
Trans Service Team (TST) is expanding the storage capacities in its hub in Dortmund (Germany) to provide more room for the products of Intersnack and another customer in the food sector. TST is investing about EUR 10 million into extending the building which now comprises a warehousing and logistics area covering more than 44,000 sqm.
The facility is located near Intersnack’s production site for the nut specialities of the Felix brand. "Dortmund is our third-largest distribution centre in Europe,“ says Jan van den Broek, Intersnack’s CEO for operations. "It is an important hub, because we cooperate with Felix in the storage and dispatch of our products here.“
The logistics centre serves food outlets in Germany but also customers in France, Czechia and the Netherlands. It currently has a storage capacity of 40,000 pallets. (mw)
