More responsibilities for BLS Cargo's CEO
For several years, Switzerland's second-largest railway company BLS has been receiving more public subsidies than were originally intended. This is substantiated by an investigation report published by the Swiss federal audit office.
These findings have consequences for Bernard Guillelmon, CEO of BLS. He has resigned from his office and will leave the company at the end of October. Dirk Stahl, CEO of BLS Cargo and former deputy CEO of BLS, will assume the position of interim CEO from November 2020.
Dirk Stahl has been managing the freight division BLS Cargo for 20 years and has continued to deliver a positive result in a competitive environment. However, his additional role of BLS-CEO is meant to be only temporary. The administrative board of BLS has set up a selection committee to seek a new CEO. (mw)
