More reefers for ONE
Japan’s Ocean Network Express (ONE), which is headquartered in Singapore, is opting for more reefers. The shipping company is adding 6,500 new units to its existing fleet. The demand for containerised reefers is expected to continue to grow in 2022.
Besides using water-borne paint that will help to reduce VOC emissions by 80-90%, the company has also invested in internet of things technology, which provides real-time visibility of critical information, such as the temperature and humidity inside the container.
ONE’s reefer business planning team, based in HQ in Singapore, develops the group’s global reefer marketing and business strategy by monitoring market demand and collaborating with ONE’s regional reefer teams around the world. (sh)
