More reefers for China
The CMA CGM affiliate's APL Chu Lai Express (CHX) service for China has departed with the first reefer shipment of bananas from the Chu Lai Tam Hiep Port in Quang Nam (Vietnam).
The sailing marks the beginning of more reefer shipments from the port as the Truong Hai Automobile (Thaco) corporation recently inaugurated a new cold storage facility and is further developing its logistics infrastructure in the Chu Lai open economic zone.
Each week, the CHX service calls the ports of Chu Lai, Hong Kong and Shekou (China). From the latter two transhipment hubs, shippers have connections to more intra-Asian markets such as Japan, Korea and Singapore, as well as to further flung destinations such as North America, the Middle East and Europe.
