More rail capacity in Quebec region
The Canadian chemical distributor Quadra is expanding its railway infrastructure in Malartic, Quebec (Canada). The upgrade will enhance the transportation of bulk chemical commodities (both liquid and dry) to mining customers throughout the region as well as in Ontario. It will improve the capacity of rail services, ensuring the safe, timely and cost-effective shipment of critical bulk chemical commodities.
The expanded facility connects to the main CN Rail Line. It includes a heated warehouse and transloading services with the ability to shunt rail cars on site with a new loco tractor. The site is expected to be completed by the end of November 2024. (ben)
