More opportunities for railfreight
Russian Railways Logistics (RZDL) and Japanese combined transport operator Nissin are partnering to develop and enhance railfreight services between Japan, Russia and Europe along the Trans-Siberian route. The companies recently signed an agreement to this effect.
To increase traffic on the Transsib, they plan to create new logistics products for e-commerce operations and container transport between Japan and Europe, among others.
According to RZDL, especially today, with the unstable situation in sea transports, railfreight can score additional points with Japanese shippers by offering stable and reliable service. (ben) www.rzdlog.ru
