More Netherlands for Movianto
By opening a new branch in Weert, the Netherlands, Movianto, a logistics service provider specialising in the healthcare industry, is doubling its warehouse capacity in this country and gaining 11,000 pallet spaces.
The logistics centre, which will start operations in February 2022, is located in the border triangle of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. It is part of a EUR 150 million investment package.
In the Netherlands, Movianto has so far provided all its national and international solutions for the storage and distribution of healthcare products from its hub in Oss. Now, additional capacity will become available for all temperature ranges.
Standard room-temperature services will be followed by a refrigerated area of 2 to 8 degrees Celsius equipped with 2,800 pallet spaces. A freezer area of -27 degrees C, with space for 600 pallets, is scheduled to be added in April 2022. The Weert and von Oss hubs will offer deliveries within 24 h in the Benelux region and in Germany.
