More leviathans for Synergy to manage
The Latin American conglomerate, Synergy Group, has taken delivery of the "Ever Gifted", an new ULCV constructed by the Japanese shipbuilder Imabari Shipbuilding.
Currently under Synergy’s technical management on Evergreen Line’s Far East-North Europe and Mediterranean service, the Singapore-flagged 199,489 dwt vessel is one of the largest containerships in service worldwide.
It has an overall length of 399.98 m, a 58.8 m beam, a total capacity of 20,388 teu and 1,300 reefer points. Fitted with a fuel optimised MAN B&W 11-cylinder engine, the "Ever Gifted" offers a service speed of 23.2 knots and weighs 217,762 t.
Over and beyond that, Synergy took delivery of the "Ever Grade" on 15 January. A sistership of the "Ever Gifted", it was also constructed by Imabari Shipbuilding. (kd)
