More Italianità in Lithuania
The Italy-headquartered 3PL Codognotto is continuing its international expansion by opening a new branch in Vilnius, Lithuania. The company aims to create its own intermodal network for transporting goods between Central Europe, the Black Sea and the Baltic Sea.
The new site in Lithuania will focus on providing road and intermodal transport with a major focus on Southern and Central Europe.
Matteo Codognotto, supply chain director of Codognotto Italy, commented on these further services in the Baltic Market: "With the new hub it will be possible to extend the current intermodal network which today reaches Poland to get to Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Finland.”
The company is currently present in most European countries. Besides Portugal, Spain, France, UK, Italy and Germany, its locations in Central and South-East Europe cover Slovakia, Belarus, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, with a strong market position in Poland, amongst others.
The Codognotto group runs about 2,000 vehicles on the road and is also present in Turkey, the UAE, India, and Singapore. (cd)
