More intermodal links for Wilhelmshaven
Eurogate Intermodal (Egim) has added Wilhelmshaven, Germany’s only deep-water port, to its network. In Q1/2023, Egim will launch direct services between its Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven (CTW) and Duisburg, Munich, Nuremberg and Kornwestheim.
Connections to Ulm, Mannheim and Frankfurt/Main will be added to the offering in Q2/2023. Egim plans to raise the frequency of its services to 13 roundtrips per week by June 2023.
More and more new corridors are being opened in southern and western Germany. The expansion of rail infrastructure between the Jade Weser Port in Wilhelmshaven and regions along the Rhine will help to further increase the number of rail links between these areas and Wilhelmshaven. (ben)
