More intermodal links between Germany and Italy
TX Logistik (TXL) will launch a new connection between Duisburg (Germany) and Padua (Italy) on 2 May 2023. Four round trips per week with 32 load units per train will be put on the rails. The connection, which will carry truck trailers with all kinds of goods, will be operated as an open train system.
With the Italian logistics company Trans Italia as its main customer, TXL will be responsible for all services on the new route. The trains will call at the Interport Padova terminal, which is only 25 km away from Venice, and the CT terminal on the Logport III site in Duisburg-Hohenbudberg. (ben)
