More groupage traffic for Transuniverse

In Belgium, Transuniverse Forwarding has taken over the groupage company Apmex International Forwarding based in Evergem, Ghent. The company was founded in 2003 by Alain Merckx, who has now sold it Transuniverse.

Apmex specialises in services to destinations in Western Europe, and more particularly UK, France and Germany, as well as in distribution within the Benelux.

With this acquisition, Transuniverse consolidates its position in the groupage market and strengthens its teams with experienced specialists. Six employees and an annual turnover of around EUR 2.5 million are now being added to the Transuniverse portfolio. Merckx will remain with Apmex until the end of April 2023. (sh)
