More green trucks for Globaltruck
In 2019, Russian FTL-trucking company Globaltruck’s revenue grew by 16.4% to RUB 9.5 billion (EUR 0.117 billion) compared to 2018. The group's net income in 2019 made up RUB 260.4 million (EUR 3.2 million), which is 60.4% less than 2018. Adjusted ebitda decreased by 5.1% to RUB 1.4 billion (EUR 0.017 billion).
Nevertheless, Globaltruck increased the average monthly distance per truck by 3.8% up to 16,500 km, reducing fuel consumption and unit costs for ongoing maintenance. In 2019, the group acquired 82 trucks and 153 semi-trailers.
As part of the programme to refurbish the vehicle fleet for gas fuel propulsion, Globaltruck plans to purchase another 40 new gas-powered trucks, as well as to convert up to 200 trucks to biofuel operation in H2/2020, CEO Ilya Sattarov said. (ben)
