More freight through Azerbaijan
In January 2024, Ady Express transported 453,621 t of freight, 108,597 t or 31% above the volumes of January 2023. This substantial growth applies to both transit and export-import cargoes, the subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways said.
One of the key contributing factors is the increase in transit shipments through Azerbaijan. Most of these goods travelled along the Middle Corridor, which has become the preferred route for international transports of goods from China and Central Asian countries to Europe and vice versa. (ben)
