More Effi Shunter locomotives to run in Italy
CZ Loko has acquired a new customer in Italy: The Czech manufacturer will provide four Effi Shunter 1000 locomotives for the carrier DB Cargo Italia. In Italy, these units are classified as D744.
The first two locomotives will be delivered during the summer and the other two by the end of the year. They will be used mainly in the dense network of single-car transports and on non-electrified lines and industrial sidings.
The Effi Shunter 1000, in particular, is a product suitable for the needs of rail carriers all over Europe, CZ Loko said. Italy is the manufacturer’s largest foreign market, where it has already sold more than 100 locomotives of this model. (ben)
