More cranes for Conakry
In Guinea, the Autonomous Port of Conakry recently received four RTGs (rubber tyred gantries). This equipment is added to the eight other models received in 2018 and 2020, bringing their number to twelve at the container terminal of the Port Autonome de Conakry.
Entirely financed by Conakry Terminal for the sum of GNF 95.7 million (EUR 8.5 million), the acquisition of this machinery is part of the commitments made by Conakry Terminal under the concession agreement signed with the Autonomous Port of Conakry.
The port aims to reduce the carbon impact of its activities by integrating into its approach the eight pillars of the Bolloré Ports green terminal label – a process validated by Bureau Veritas that covers all environmental issues. Conakry Terminal is a subsidiary of Bolloré Ports. (sh)
