More connections to port of Hamburg

The European rail logistics company Metrans has introduced a daily rail service for containers to improve connections between the export-oriented regions around Kornwestheim (Germany) and the port of Hamburg.

The new train has been operating since 8 January. Goods are transported in both directions, and direct links to the seaports of Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven are also available, Metrans, a HHLA subsidiary, said. Its portfolio includes ˝HHLA Pure˝, a certified CO2-free transport option.

Kornwestheim is an important transport hub in the centre of the industrial regions around Stuttgart, Mannheim and Frankfurt am Main. (ben)
