More certificates for the environment in France
Haropaport's environmental strategy has moved to the next level. For the first time in the company's history, the regional leadership team of the Port of Le Havre has received ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management. After the audit follow-up, the ISO 14001 certification of the Paris regional office was also confirmed.
The Afnor ISO 14001 certification audits whether the port's environmental management systems (EMS) comply with the standards for the following activities: carrying out reception operations for ships, boats and watercraft, welcoming and housing crews and customers on the estate, managing the networks of rail and road services.
Granted at the end of July for a period of three years following an audit carried out from 14 to 17 June, this certification validates a proactive policy that integrates environmental issues into the management of the company's projects. (sh)
