More cargo transported by rail in Central Asia

HHLA Project Logistics is shifting project cargo from road to rail for further orders in Central Asia. Part of the project cargo is loaded in Baku, Azerbaijan, and carried to different destinations in Kazakhstan.

Shipments are despatched by rail from Baku to the port of Alyat and then shipped across the Caspian Sea to the port of Aktau in Kazakhstan. HHLA Project Logistics has also introduced a new container block train to transport goods from Aktau to various Chinese destinations via the city of Khorgos, China.

At the port of Poti in Georgia, the company takes over cargo arriving from China that is bound for Baku. The freight is loaded onto container block trains operated by Azerbaijan Railways (ADY). (ben)
