More capacity at Chicago O’Hare Intl Airport
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a member of the Sats Group, has increased its cargo capacity at Chicago O’Hare International Airport by more than 10% to over 310 million kg a year with the opening of another cargo terminal.
WFS has signed a 15-year lease on the new facility in the airport’s Northeast Cargo Area, which commenced operations last month. It provides an additional 11,334 sqm of warehouse space, 929 sqm of office accommodation, and some 18,580 sqm of ramp space at the third busiest airport in North America.
WFS has a track record of nearly 40 years at Chicago O-Hare and provides cargo and ground handling services for airlines and logistics companies in Chicago, supplying cargo, ramp, mail, and passenger services for customers including China Airlines, Eva Air, Kalitta Air, Flexport, Atlas Air, UPS, USPS and Air France KLM Martinair.
