More Airbus for EVA Air
EVA Air from Taiwan has finalised a firm order with Airbus for the purchase of 18 widebody A350-1000s and 15 single-aisle A321neo.
Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus EVP Sales, commercial aircraft: "In the long-range market, it’s another major endorsement for the A350-1000 as the natural replacement for previous generation aircraft in the larger widebody size category. The A350 is setting new standards in terms of range and payload."
According to the manufacturer, the largest A350 version can carry up to 44 ULDs or 14 freight pallets. In EVA Air's fleet, 34 B777-300ERs, four B787-9s (plus nine on order), nine B787-10s (+ four), nine A330-300s and three A330-200s offer underfloor cargo capacity. For full freighters, EVA Air favours Boeing, with already eight B777Fs in service and one on order. (ah)
