MongoDB boosts access in Southeast Asia

MongoDB has expanded the availability of its multi-cloud data platform ‘MongoDB Atlas’ to Amazon Web Services (AWS) regions in Malaysia and Thailand.

The move supports increased demand in Southeast Asia, where MongoDB has seen significant growth, as it has reported. With local hosting, businesses in sectors such as financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, agritech and manufacturing can now benefit from lower latency, data sovereignty and increased availability.

‘MongoDB Atlas’ is already operational in other Asia-Pacific locations including Australia, Japan and South Korea. The company’s regional revenue has surpassed USD 220 million.

“This collaboration helps businesses in Southeast Asia innovate faster,” said Kirsten Gilbertson, partner organisation leader for the Asean region at AWS. (js)
