Modernising ports worldwide
DP World has surpassed 100 million teu of container handling capacity globally, driven by USD 11 billion in strategic investments in port infrastructure, expansion and acquisitions. This milestone cements DP World’s 9.2% share of the global container market and highlights its role in enabling global trade.
Recent achievements include expanding London Gateway, the port of Callao (Peru) and a terminal in Kochi (India). Key additions to its portfolio include the Dar es Salaam Port (Tanzania) and the Belawan New Container Terminal (Indonesia).
The company’s growth has also spurred socio-economic development in underdeveloped trade markets. With further investments planned, DP World aims to enhance its capacity and efficiency to meet the evolving demands of global supply chains. (pb)
