Modern tolling system for Louisiana
Plenary Infrastructure Group has contracted Austrian traffic technologist Kapsch TrafficCom to implement a new tolling system in the USA. The Louisiana Highway (LA-1) project launched by Louisiana’s department of transportation and development complements an existing contract.
For the LA-1 project, Kapsch is updating the existing tolling infrastructure using the Kapsch Advanced Lane solution.
Existing systems and services will also modernised and supplied and the efficiency of operations and maintenance will be increased. Implementation is sceduled to start in 2023, followed by 30 years of technical and commercial operation. (ben)
