Modern equipment for grain transport
Rusagrotrans has ordered 500 hopper cars from UWC. The Russian manufacturer will deliver the wagons by end of 2021. Russagrotrans operates grain and other bulk cargo transports for the Russian agricultural industry and is expanding its rail network for grain shipments.
In just one year, the company's direct shipment volume has grown from 257,000 t to 1.1 million t, which is almost 10% of all grain export shipments in the 2020/21 season.
To maintain the growth rate, Rusagrotrans plans to modernise its rolling stock, digitalise its services and leverage synergies with other companies in the holding. (ben)
