Mistral Air becomes Poste Air Cargo
One year after transiting into a dedicated mail and freight haulier, the Italian carrier Mistral Air has been rebranded as Poste Air Cargo. The airline is a division of Poste Italiane and operates a fleet of five ATR72-500, two ATR72-200F and one B737F aircraft on scheduled cargo flights within Italy between Bari, the postal hub Brescia, Cagliari, Catania, Lamezia Terme, Naples, Palermo and Rome FCO.
Recently, the Icelandic cargo airline Bluebird Nordic (B737F) and Bulgarian Air Charter (MD-82) operated on behalf of Mistral Air. Key contractors include Amazon.com, which uses the carrier's overnight flights as part of its expedited delivery process. (ah)
