Milan to join Virgin's cargo-only network
Starting tomorrow, 12 September 2020, Virgin Atlantic Cargo is extending its cargo-only network to Italy, launching twice-weekly A350 and B787 services between London Heathrow and Milan Malpensa, offering up to 50 t of cargo capacity per flight.
For customers in the USA, Virgin also promises easy connections over London to do business with companies located in Italy’s largest industrial region. This will include next day deliveries for products from New York to Milan. The airline expects to carry a wide variety of cargoes ranging from fashion, food and wine to luxury car parts, pharmaceuticals and electronics products.
Cargo capacity on the new Virgin Atlantic servic will be marketed by ADP, Virgin's GSA in Italy, while Bcube Air Cargo has been awarded the cargo handling contract for export and import shipments. (ah)
