MGI's new challenge for ports of the future

Marseille-based MGI provides digital solutions to accelerate, secure, and improve goods handling in ports. Sylvie Lefebvre, Elisabeth Janssen and Typhenn Biret of the company’s product division have now taken up a new challenge.

Their division identifies bugs in the application and analyses and specifies updates while ensuring the overall consistency of each port's processes. Unlike previous cargo community systems, (Protis and AP+), a single version of Ci5 is deployed across all port communities.

In recent months, MGI's team has been working on the task of integrating the overhaul of European customs systems into Ci5 by 2024. Customs is creating a real link between its security management systems (ICS2), temporary storage (PN-TS) and customs clearance (Delta IE/AES).

Product owners will therefore need to create reliable and efficient solutions for users to be able to easily complete regulatory procedures. (lh)
