Metrans augments its Turkey service
HHLA’s intermodal company has been running a regular rail connection between TK Halkali (Turkey) and Dunajska Streda (Slovakia) via Budapest (Hungary) and Indjija (Serbia) since September 2022. From March 2024, Metrans will increase the capacity by adding more departures.
There will be two scheduled roundtrips per week between Halkali and Indjija and weekly services connecting Halkali with the Budapest Csepel Terminal and the Dunajska Streda terminal.
Test trains already started running on 19 February 2024. The trains transport all kinds of containers, incl. special equipment, such as tank containers of all sizes. Metrans can also provide its own fleet of 45' containers as an additional option. (ben)
